I return to this hotel every year, as It is next to the train station, a short walk from the cathedral, and a short taxi ride from the Carolus Thermae. It is very Clean, comfortable beds, excellent staff.
This hotel is good value and very convenient for me near a son's appartment. I've stayed before and will do so again; I drove, as always, and can reach Aachen in under 4 hours from Calais - the hotel then is only 10/15 minutes from junction 39 on E40.
We have stayed here several times, the hotel is quite close to the town centre, the staff are always friendly and efficient. The private car park is important for us, as we often come by car . Excellent breakfast in a light and airy breakfast room.
We've stayed here many times on our way to and from England. The rooms are comfortably functional and the breakfast is good. The hotel has paid parking and is conveniently located about 10 minutes' walk from the centre.
The staff decided to double book my and other rooms. At 23.55 I had to find an other hotel. I've stayed before and wanted to stay there again as I found it a good enough hotel as you can expect a İbis
Great hotel near the train station. Friendly and helpful staff. And a nice breakfast in the morning. Staff can recommend some great restaurants nearby. Relaxing and accommodating bar in the evening. the room was very clean and hotel quiet.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms have always been clean and tidy and they have excellent secure parking. However this time our stay was marred by the surly and unfriendly attitude of the reception staff. Ibis, you can do better than this!
Whilst not essential, as the drive from Calais to the Frankfurt area is more than easily accomplished in well less than a day's driving, we decided to stopover in Aachen and take the opportunity to visit their Christmas market and also to visit some of their shops that bake and sell the local speciality "printen" biscuits, especially appropriate at Christmas time. The hotel is typical of an Ibis / Accor hotel, very clean, functional with a very comfortable bed and efficient shower in the en-suite. Staff are very helpful and friendly. All in all a very pleasant stay and great value for money. Not our first visit to this hotel and probably not our last.
Quite possibly the worse Ibis I have stayed at. The room was tiny although clean. Our room had a broken window and wouldn't seal properly, room was freezing and the noise was awful. Room was street facing one first floor right above the main door. Could hear all the traffic and conversations as if they were in the room with us. On our second night we gladly were moved to another room on the second floor facing the rear car park, sadly a room/flat or office above had someone walking back and forth in what sounded likeep high heels till 23:00 then started again about 05:00. Both nights here really drained us and wasn't the standard we expected from an Ibis. I'd forget staying here for the price and go to the Ibis Budget up the road instead for less money.
We always enjoy our stay at this hotel, it is ideally situated for a visit to the city It is always lovely and clean with excellent service from the staff The breakfast is very well presented and of good quality
I'm really happy of my night here. The room, the bed, the bathroom were really clean. I slept well in a big bed. The reception was very courteous and helpfull. If I had to stay in Aachen for one night again, I'll surely go to this hotel again.
Very cozy room, big enough for a comfortable stay. We asked to be placed close to the elevator and got the room right across from it. Good service, very nice. They made a mistake and wanted to charge us for breakfasts we didn't have, but they didn't argue when we told them it was wrong. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Aachen.
...at least you should. Rooms were what we expected...checking in was miserably slow (checking out was very good). Room was clean, etc. But, never in a million years will I pay 11€ per person per day for their breakfast.
Regular visitors to Aachen and decided to stay here one night. Not very central but easy walking distance to the shops, nightlife etc. Some may find it less fun uphill on the way back if tired / after a few drinks. The hotel could really do with an update. We stay in a lot of Accor hotels and this is at the lower end of the Ibis segment. In particular the blinds were fairly DIY and not very clean. The soundproofing also isn't great in the rooms so we could hear others. Overall everything felt / looked a bit worn. Secure, gated off street parking was appreciated - we got the last usable parking space - the spaces are small but bad parking from other guests was the main issue in this case. Ultimately our opinion and feedback is somewhat affected by the fact that due to the booking being quite short notice the price was higher than we would normally pay for an Ibis. If we had paid the usual lower price for the room our expectations would naturally be reduced - although a refresh of the hotel is still needed. Overall fine for an overnight when at the lower rate - but if not available then better to spend a bit more elsewhere.
the location is very good with respect to city centre and Aachen university it is in quite position with green areas in front of most of rooms. I like it very much. also it has good price comparing with other hotels.
A clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and good value. The Hotel is well located and within a short walking distance to the City Centre and shops. The Hotel was easy to find and car parking is available adjacent to the Hotel. Aachen is close to the borders with Belgium and Holland where the Cities of Hasselt and Maastricht are just a 30 minute drive
Excellent Hotel with parking facilities. Just a 10 minute walk away from the centre. Easy accessible. Good for both business and leisure. A Hotel hub for nearby places such as Maastricht / Bruges/ Gent.
I Linked the location, near the halphbanhof Aachen and easy to find the hotel, and unliked the Room, because is not air condicionair inside, so i did sleep very bad all the nights, and the value this hotel is very Hight trat to offers.
Good standard of facilities and a comfortable time spent at the hotel. Good location within walking distance of the centre. Plenty of choices for food and drink. Can recommend this hotel if you need to visit Aachen.
Comfortable and clean, friendly staff, good value for money. Need Satnav to find but location very convenient to city centre. Only downside was chef sick so there were only snacks available in bar, no restaurant meal possible the night we stayed.
