Made a stay away from home really pleasant at every point of staff contact - from check-in, to dinner, to the bar, to check-out, to ordering a cab to the train station. other stand-out parts were, the menu, the decor in public spaces and the rooms. The only thing I didn't like was being charged £1.75 to use the cash machine - I don't think Accor should be making money out of me with this. However this was far outweighed by everything else. Thank you and well done guys.
Perfect location for the airport Friendly staff Nice atmosphere Easy to get to from the train station - there is a shuttle bus which you can take Very relaxed We would recommend it if you have an early flight from Luton
Convenient hotel for Luton Airport and quite close to car hire centre. Staff courteous and welcoming Car parking limited and an additional cost. Why are hotels built with inadequate car parking and need to charge for it. Without car drivers the hotel would be less than 50% occupied. Despite this would stay again.
Not much to say as late arrival and morning check out. However we were surprised at the lack of a business looking check in area so different from our last visit a year ago. We feel that it does not give professional, honest , trustworthy feel as it makes the hotel look cheap and dubious not in line with the prices charged. There is downsizing and downsizing............
The hotel was easy to find. Check in was fast but we did not receive enough information on the parking arrangements. This led to a problem when retrieving our car, as the car park wanted to charge us an extra £200. You need to get your entry ticket validated with your hotel voucher before leaving. The room was musty and smelly - we later discovered why - the shower base had leaked and the bedroom carpet was saturated. The evening meal was good and reasonably priced.
We have stayed at the Ibis London Luton Airport Hotel several times and find it very convenient. Within walking distance of the mid-term carpark and the terminal building. Provides all the essentials for an overnight stay. Easy check in and out.
I stayed at the Luton Ibis as i arrived very late from a long flight and had a morning meeting away from London. The hotel is expressly organized for this type of stay. Food is available at all hours; i had a bowl of tasty tomato soup at 1:30 a.m. From 4 a.m., there is breakfast. The rooms are the same standard as any four star hotel, the wifi works. What else can you ask for ?
Used as a base to visit other places. I regularly stay here and find the service and staff great. The rooms are as you would expect and they are always clean and tidy. Food at the hotel is of a good standard and the half board deal is good value for money. My stay was faultless and thanks go the team at the hotel. Please just sort out the car park barrier, I thought the camera and number plate recognition was so easy to use.
Arrival was terrible. Check in was one girl with a small table, a room key machine and a PAD. There was a queue!! Misinformed on charges for car parking and room! Asked for manager but not available at that time? Saw queues 5 deep later. What happened to a proper reception desk. Cutting costs by cutting staff? Room was OK. No wake up call. No-one on checkout - several guests looking for her. Eventually get away. Missed plane. Went home.
We have stayed at the Ibis Luton Airport many times now. Staff always friendly and helpful and a great nights sleep! Excellent soundproofing in rooms. Nice bar and restaurant on site too. Location good, easy to get to and a short walk to departures.
I use to go to this hotel mainly because of its good situación, near Luton Airport. This time I was not as well as always. Firstly there is a new reception desk, like a bar table. Besides, the new check-in sometimes do mistakes: for example when "receptionist" gave me the key there was already a guy in my room. This time I found it expensive for what it is.
Spoilt your excellent reputation by installing the new booking in system. It was very inconvenient, inefficient and treble the time I have ever waited to be booked in, and at 12 o'clock at night after a long flight very frustrating.
The hotel is quite near the airport and you can use the airport shuttle bus to reach it. However, if you have more than hand luggage the return to the airport will be difficult. The bus stop is at a roundabout uphill from the hotel and the road has no footpath. The hotel is a bit shabby and needs a makeover. The window curtain in our room was broken and hanging down Restaurant service was very good as was the reception. The bar staff were disinterested and seemed inexperienced; they served brandy in a tumbler. I can't imagine that from an IBIS in france.
The admin was quick and efficient on arrival and departure, and the room was comfortable. We did not have brerakfast a swe had an early flight to catch. We would stay there again without hesitation. That is all I can find to say.
As we had parked in the long stay car park and wanted a nights rest we booked the Ibis hotel. As an Accor member I received a welcome drink but we did not stay for breakfast as our flight was at 5.50 from the airport. It is convenient but at a modest price for being near to the airport and I had used my Accor points to cut the cost down for us.
Booked a double room, no double available at check in, only twins. Saw rats in the car park (maybe this can't be helped but it's the second time at this hotel). The bathroom had not been deep-cleaned in a good while. Soap smells incredibly weird and unpleasant.
Good service for an airport hotel and clean rooms. If you are not carrying a lot of luggage you can walk from/to the airport from there. If not there is a shuttle every 10 minutes. There was a trainee at the reception who was very kind.
Facilitiy is great, all we expected: clean, pleasent, comfortable. Only Thing you may want to check is location: right next to airport which si great if you arrive/leave immediately before/after, but far from City.
Bit of a hike if you walk from Luton arrivals to this hotel when you have a case etc. Bed was very firm, but once I got used to it, it was fine by morning. Was allocated a room which had a bad smell of cigarette, but staff quickly changed it.
Nice hotel. Good food. The rooms are comfortable. The tv could do with updating in regards to the tv channels available. Staff are very friendly. This is a nice hotel to base yourself from to explore from.
