Overall very good had trouble with air conditioning and weather was Very Hot staff were notified at checkout this hotel is very good when attending Qudos arena but bar closed early on Friday night when we returned from show and would have liked a drink or coffee
Excellent upgrad to the Pullman Hotel after a booking for the Ibis, I was happy with a very comfortable room, overlooking to the east Sydney, the other two Accor properties on site, Ibis & Novotel & the ANZ Stadium. The three Accor properties in Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) are great for specific needs in the area. Easy train access & lots of inside & outside food options. As I said, nice room with good facilities including a bath. No Executive Lounge, which distracts marginally. Rate dependent return, when I need to do some business in the area. Thanks to concierge Joe, who was the pick of the staff.
Excellent customer Service from Front Desk Check in ! to Room Service Attendant ! to management ... Friendly , efficient and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying at Sydney Olympic Park .
I was staying for kcon in Qudos Arena, location is good, 5 mins to the Olympic Park Station and 15 mins to the venue. The room is clean and tidy. Only thing I am not happy about is the staff, we checked in early in the morning, I understand they are busy but there is no reason for giving me a very unpleasant face for my early arrival. I kept the luggage and wait for the room (which I didn't expect I will have a room at the time), the staff told me room will be ready 3-4hours at 8:00a.m. I came back after 2hours and just have a check, the staff said is not ready... therefore we went for lunch and back 12:00. The same staff this time talked to me in a rude way that stated room will be ready after 2p.m. If the staff tell me from the beginning is 2p.m. I may pack my stuff and go downtown. Finally, my room is ready after 2p.m. Moreover, there's only one staff standing at the counter normally, both Novotel and Ibis are at the same counter. Please reserved time for the check-in & out.
Was given complimentary pool use, service was fantastic, breakfast was yummy and the room was clean and beds so comfy. I was travelling with an infant and was given help with my luggage and baby by the cleaner. Great value for money. Thank you so much for the lovely stay.
I booked the hotel without checking events that were happening at the stadium and the arena. Both venues has big crowds but, amazingly, I didn't even notice the noise! The rooms are a very good size and the cooling/heating system was a dream to use. The bar is also a pleasant place to grab a drink after a long day, with a good wine selection.
Friendly staff greeting. Clean average room at reasonable price.Good night's sleep. I had pre booked dinner but was still charged and told it would be refunded. It is annoying when you have prepaid for room, breakfast and dinner they still take your credit card, add extras and you have to fight to get your money back.
Able to check in online and advise of early arrival and room was ready and available. Excellent service at both check in and check out. Great location. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and have always received excellent service.
We stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Sydney Olympic Park because we were attending a concert at the Quedos Bank Arena. This was my first trip to the Olympic Park, and in a word, the parking was a nightmare. We drove around for 1 hour trying to find the hotel. After finding a 15 minute car space we walked 200 metres to the hotel. The hotel was in a good location adjacent to the stadium but directions on the hotel website told us nothing of directions or parking facilities. When we finally received directions from the hotel staff for directions to the hotel carpark, we were told it was full. We were told to proceed to the hotel carpark entry and there would be someone there to organise car parking for us. There was no one. More a case of good luck than good management that we found a spot to park our car. Overall a nice budget hotel but if you know where you are going, then that helps.
The room was small but very clean and comfortable. For a short stay it is great. We stayed 2 nights. It was very close to the venue we were attending. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downfall is that you have to pay for parking and wifi.
We stayed here on saturday night for the Sydney Show. It was s perfect spot, so close as the Show entry is half s block away. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Check in and out was quick and easy and the valet parking was excellent. The rooms are a little small but hey we went to the show and came back to the motel to sleep!!
Walked in with my daughter and backpacks - admittedly a bit bedraggled after travelling,, and a bit confused about whether we were in the Ibis or the Novotel - confusing signage?, and the doorman questioned us as to if we were looking for the Ibis budget -well dude looks can be deceiving!! Ha! we may not look a million dollars - just had a splurge for the night, very nice place - nothing bad to say apart from that bit of snobbery!
We stayed here for Bruce Springsteen concert. The hotel was ok and the staff were helpful but the room was tiny with mould on the shower grout .Wouldnt normally bother me as I've backpacked around the world but when you pay $519.00 for ONE NIGHT you would expect more. Obviously they are able to take advantage of the close proximity to the venue and charge like a wounded bull!!! Also our "queen" bed was two singles shoved together with the split still down the centre!!
Easy check in and great customer service. Good variety of buffet breakfast. Car park had large enough spaces to fit large cars. Room was very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Great location right across from ANZ Stadium.
First time I stayed here as I will be working quite a lot in Olympic Park. Location with lots of cafes/ restaurants around. Room was nice and was very good for the price. Staff was also really nice. Access via train was only around 150 m from the hotel.
This was our 4th yr staying at the ibis for the APIA Intl. Staff are wonderful, friendly & will go above & beyond if you request assistance, everyone was fantastic - special mention to Jamie at the bar.
overall was great ,staff were very helpful and really made my stay enjoyable always bubbly. cleaners could have done a better job in the shower on arrival. breakfast and meals were really good quality of food was definalty very good. we enjoyed the stay and would definatly stay again. Aircon wasnt wasnt working right but it was very hot so i guess they were trying to fix the problem.
It felt like a budget motel, things were old and breaking, stains on the carpet, cockroaches sat in hallway for days and also in the room, room stewards made the bed twice in the 6 nights we were there.
Amazing stay. So close to venue. Staff happy. Breakfast amazing. Ladies so happy to do anything for you. Was a busy night but nothing was too much trouble. Car parking a bit messy but overall a great stay
Our booking was cancelled because you took too long to check the credit card. You refused to reinstate it and told us to go back to Booking.com. They could not do it either so I had to re-book. YOU CHARGED ME TWICE FOR THE ROOM!!!!!!!. I rang and spoke to Teil who said he'd check and get back to me. He has not rung and my money has NOT been refunded. The room was second grade. There were two bits of bare wood holding up the shower rail. It looked like it was 40 years old and never been renovated. The fridge was old and hardly worked to keep things cool. I don't mind paying the money if I get what I paid for. The room was worth about $100. All night we could hear people going to the toilet and showering upstairs. There was a loud noise we couldn't work out - finally after a day we found out it was the clock radio buzzing. We kept rolling out of the bed because of the rounded edges. I will never stay at Ibis again.
