This hotel is a good budget option for Manchester City centre, it offers comfortable rooms at a reasonable price, with basic hotel services.
The rooms have a modern design, with a desk and power outliets, a comfortable bed, TV, simple open wardrobe and a bathroom pod. There aren’t any safes in the rooms or ironing facilities, these are available, but not in the rooms.
The bathrooms are functional and very clean, the showers are fantastic. Lots of hot water and great water pressure.
The common areas of the hotel are limited to the lobby and coffee bar. The large reception desk is gone, replaced by hotel staff with tablets. It’s fine, and check in was very fast and efficient, but the unusual layout often means people are trying to squeeze past to access the breakfast buffet while others are checking out and it can get crowded.
Breakfast was fine, a continental selection of cereals, fruits, cooked meats, pastries, etc. You can also order a breakfast bap of sausage, bacon and egg for 2 pounds extra. The seating area is small and can get very busy.
In general, I’d say this is a good option for short stays or for business trips given the great location and no-frills approach.
