This is a nice hotel, offering very swift and friendly check in and a comfortable and quiet room. It is located just a few minutes from nearest Metrolink stop and so is very convenient for central Manchester.

one of the clean, great and lovely ibis hotels great location in Manchester city center small cozy hotel and nicely furnished rooms and lobby. i recommend for anyone value the good quality and hospitality.

Revamped front office, bar and restaurant areas very pleasant although can be very busy at certain times and confusing. Staff willing to help. Not sure about changes to breakfast! Overall a good trip in a very central location.

The staff could not have done enough, all with a smile. Friendly, accommodating and gracious. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. My room was comfortable and quiet, perfect for my few days in Manchester. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on business.

I have been staying here on and off for nearly a year, including thorough the changes to reception and the bar, which are excellent. however service is starting to lose a little shine, by that the little things are starting to go a little backwards. The rooms don't feel as clean or fresh, I would suggest leaving a window open and some stronger smelling scent. and the breakfast, ah the breakfast, the continental buffet is excellent, although the pasties are starting to be a little "soggy", but the breakfast bap/plate? On check in I fell for the would you like a breakfast bap for an extra £2, and I said go on then, on the morning it was no sir we don't do that anymore its a breakfast on a plate, but you can get toast! (number 1 mis-sold)(number 2 I had to ask for it, and he had to ask his manager?) when it came it was like a plate of microwaved play dough (number 3 not good). Therefore my advise is this, please get back on top of the rooms, not good for staff not to speak full English in England, and bake the pastries in the morning not the night before, and forget all about trying to do cooked breakfasts, (they are pretty poor)

not a happy that they had a fire exit chained shut and while i was complaining about this the fire alarm went off proving my point as other guest tried to exit via that door and had to turn round and go to another not happy with there attitude towards me

Where do I start... I booked an early check in for 9am for it not to be ready, finally got into my room to find the bathroom to be as small as a caravans.... got into bed last night to find the bed rock hard... after an hour I finally got to sleep only to be woken an hour later by the fire alarm going off and having to come down due to someone burning toast??? Finally back in took me another hour to get off to sleep to only wake every hour because I was so uncomfortable and now I’ve woken this morning with a bad back and neck!!! This really was not worth £142 I wouldn’t have paid £42 for this stay!! Never again!!!

Fine hotel for two or three night stay. Free Metro Shuttle bus from Picadilly Staion stops across the street. Nice bar in a funky lobby. Lobby is like a living room. Breakfast was fine. Staff helpful. Funky but Chic

The hotel was very well located, very near Chinatown and not far from train station. Staff was very helpful and our stay was comfortable. We can recommend this Ibis in Manchester orice-wise when one chooses from a number of them in the city.

Clean, well-located - although a little confusing to find another Ibis in the same road -and reasonably priced. However, poor choice of food (pizza) in cafe/bar in evening meant I had to go elsewhere to eat.

Staff and reception bar area all great and so should have been the room but it was't. The smell was overwhelming. Someone needed to check on 337 before it was used. The staff sorted out the problem quickly and effectively.

3 nights for a 3-day conference at nearby MCC. 30% off parking at the Q-Piazza meant it was £7 per day/night, rather than £10. Breakfast was a mixed feast - some of the toasting bread wasn't great, but the yoghurts and other items were excellent.

This was the first time I’d used this hotel in a couple of years. The new counterless lobby had been created which on the evidence of its use elsewhere creates confusion for guests on checking. Leaving this aside the whole lobby had been refurbed as a sitting room/pub. This felt strange an inappropriate to me but was mainly an issue when it came to breakfast. Meal tables combined with sofa/benches made it feel like a cramped canteen. On the service side the biggest problem is too little staff, poor training and what felt like the absence of a manager. I arrived at 22.00 to be told only Nachis were available to eat. These took 20 minutes to arrive and when I complained was told by the staff member “It’s not my fault”. I was even more surprised when 5 mind later a customer ordered a pizza which was then served to them. All in all a disappointment. Will use Ibis again but not this one.

The hotel offered a full English breakfast from the buffet on arrival very few tables to sit at for breakfast and no buffet for hot food. The staff at the hotel were very helpful even with no reception desk it felt like walking in to a bar, other people were also not impressed as the web site stated a full English breakfast was available and confirmed on the reservation

Good location, easy walk to a variety of tourist spots. Well located to train station. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice relaxed pub downstairs wjere great coffee could also be had. Comfortable room and clean too.

Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast a bit disappointing mainly due to the cramped space where it was set out. Staff very helpful although service in the bar slow on Friday evening. Noisier rooms at the front of the hotel. Very narrow beds in the twin room."

Travelling for business is never that much fun but I walked in to the Ibis on a very wet Manchester night and the young lady insisted on running off to get me towel before checking me in. (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) Its the small things that make a big difference.

This hotel is a good budget option for Manchester City centre, it offers comfortable rooms at a reasonable price, with basic hotel services. The rooms have a modern design, with a desk and power outliets, a comfortable bed, TV, simple open wardrobe and a bathroom pod. There aren’t any safes in the rooms or ironing facilities, these are available, but not in the rooms. The bathrooms are functional and very clean, the showers are fantastic. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. The common areas of the hotel are limited to the lobby and coffee bar. The large reception desk is gone, replaced by hotel staff with tablets. It’s fine, and check in was very fast and efficient, but the unusual layout often means people are trying to squeeze past to access the breakfast buffet while others are checking out and it can get crowded. Breakfast was fine, a continental selection of cereals, fruits, cooked meats, pastries, etc. You can also order a breakfast bap of sausage, bacon and egg for 2 pounds extra. The seating area is small and can get very busy. In general, I’d say this is a good option for short stays or for business trips given the great location and no-frills approach.

Rooms look ok and beds are comfy but it gets so hot in the room and you have no control over the air conditioner unit. I did call reception but they said they couldn't do anything about it and recommended that I opened a window. This was Manchester on a Saturday night, I genuinely could hear one one vomiting outside the hotel, so loud. I mentioned it at checkout and the member of staff was not bothered.

After many nights in various Ibis hotels this one is memorable but not for the right reasons. The entrance reception and breakfast area all adjacent to the lifts is very badly designed. May look good but doesn't work with the chaos this bottleneck causes. The hotel unfortunately suffered a water outage. No water for a while and when restored only cold. Not the best morning shower. The hotel is adjacent to construction works which start early. This is temporary and I'm sure in time the hotel will be up to usual Ibis standard. Apart from that Good location for Manchester central with 5 minutes walk. Several restaurants close by.
